Home to one of the most pristine sparkling white beaches in the world, Maldives is an unrivalled travel destination that has some stunning underwater life. Its proximity to India makes it an obvious choice for travellers who wish to see both the destinations. And if the dream of travelling on a luxury cruise always tickled your imagination, your wish has just been granted. A renowned Italian luxury cruise operator has started operating from Mumbai to Maldives’ capital Male from December 2016. Tourists can now take the ship called ‘Costa neoClassica’, an elegant cruise ship with 654 cabins, from India to Male.
This is the first time any cruise ship has operated from India. Till now, Indian tourists had to travel abroad to be able to experience luxury cruise ships.
With a capacity of around 1,700 guests, the cruise ship has a host of dining services on board with an exotic list of finest wines, beverages and gourmet menus at it’s two restaurants. Guests on board will have access to a 1,300 square-metre wellness centre with a gym, steam and sauna rooms. Besides, the ship will have two swimming pools and four whirlpools for guests to lounge in. For guests who want to sweat it out, there’s also a outdoor jogging track.
Plenty of entertainment options are also available such as a casino, theatre, nightclub, ballroom and shopping arcade to name a few.
The cruise ship will sail from Mumbai via Mangalore and Cochin.
